To provide a sunscreen cosmetic that has a poor stress on eyes while containing ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate and/or octocrylene which are commonly used as ultraviolet ray absorbers.SOLUTION: There is provided a sunscreen cosmetic containing (A) an ultraviolet ray absorber of at least on one selected from ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate and octocrylene； and (B) a powder which has a feature that in a case where it is mixed with 10 times (mass ratio) of (A) ultraviolet ray absorber to be a suspension, the suspension provides a spot area of 3 hours after spotting the suspension on a skin substitute membrane of 60% or less than a spot area obtained 3 hours after spotting only the (A) ultraviolet ray absorber.
