The present invention refers to the use of a lentiviral vector comprising a defective integrase protein and further comprising a polynucleotide encoding at least one antigenic polypeptide, to produce an immunogenic composition for eliciting an immune response against said at least one polypeptide, in a host administered with said immunogenic composition. In a particular embodiment, said immune response is a humoral response, especially a protective humoral immune response.
