PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dentifrice composition that exhibits a high sterilizing effect by isopropyl methyl phenol on biofilms in the oral cavity, is least irritant to the oral mucosa, has a reduced disagreeable taste, and a good feel of use, and foams well on brushing teeth.SOLUTION: The dentifrice composition includes (A) isopropyl methyl phenol, (B) one or not less than two kinds of fragrant components selected from among 3-octanol, 3-octyl acetate, 3-octanone, and fenchone, (C) a 12-14C fatty acid amidopropyl betaine and/or 2-alkyl-N-carboxymethyl-N-hydroxyethyl imidazolinium betaine, (D) a pyrophosphate and/or a tripolyphosphate, and (E) a lauryl phosphate. The content of the component (D) is 0.1-2.0 mass%.
