PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably block thermal conduction to a non-target tissue and to select and effectively cauterize only a target tissue.SOLUTION: A catheter shaft 1 includes an outer cylinder shaft 2, an intermediary cylinder shaft 3 and an inner cylinder shaft 4, which are slidable to each other. An outer balloon 5 is installed between the distal end 2A of the outer cylinder shaft 2 and the distal end 4A of the inner cylinder shaft 4, and an inner balloon 6 is installed between the distal end 3A of the intermediary cylinder shaft 3 and the distal end 4A of the inner cylinder shaft 4. The outer balloon 5 is filled with a low thermal conductive gas. A filling solution filled inside the inner balloon 6 is subjected to radio-frequency heating by supplying power to an electrode 15 for radio-frequency energizing.
