the present invention relates to a smart drug delivery system comprising of a thin rod having a coarse or uneven surface which is coated with the drug composition. The thin rod serves as a delivery system such that when inserted into the cavity /affected area the drug is released as a result of the environment of the cavity / affected area secretions and pH differential.
