Methods and systems for assessing and treating vestibular disorders can include displaying a graphic and providing relative movement between the graphic and a users head. Information can be obtained either directly or indirectly from the user regarding her perception of the graphic. A graphic display parameter and/or a relative movement parameter can be modified in response to the information regarding the users perception. An indicator of the users ability to perceive the graphic can be generated through a series of iterations. A graphic display parameter and/or a relative movement parameter for use in a subsequent series of iterations can be modified based at least in part on the indicator.
