A system for measuring electrical behavior of textile material comprising a textile material holder comprising a fabric holder with fabric clamping jaws for holding fabric sample of the textile fibre and applying high electric potential across said fabric sample, a control unit for measuring the electrical resistance based on voltage across the fabric sample and series current through the sample resulting from the application of the high and constant electric potential across the sample and a re-sealable enclosure for housing the fabric holder and the control unit and safe measurement of the electrical resistance while the enclosure is in sealed condition.
