PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter capable of easily removing air in a balloon lumen of a balloon catheter, and preventing blood, etc. from being sucked into the catheter at the time of contraction of a balloon.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter 100 includes a core tube 10, a balloon 20 provided on the outer periphery of the core tube in the vicinity of the distal side, a proximal side outer tube 30 provided on the outer periphery of the core tube and on the proximal side of the balloon, and a distal side outer tube 40 provided on the distal side of the balloon so as to be joined to the outer periphery of the core tube.
