A method for implanting a tooth implant in an at least partially edentulous patient including the steps of anchoring at least one attachment element in a patients jaw bone, removably and replaceably mounting a carrier assembly bearing at least one fiducial marker onto the at least one attachment element in a precisely repeatable position with respect to the patients jaw bone, employing the carrier assembly for providing registration between the at least one fiducial marker and the patients jaw bone and implanting the tooth implant by employing a tracking system which uses the registration to guide a drilling assembly.La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé pour la mise en place dun implant dentaire chez un patient au moins partiellement édenté. Ce procédé comprend les étapes consistant à ancrer au moins un élément de fixation dans los de la mâchoire du patient, à monter de manière amovible et remplaçable un ensemble de support portant au moins un marqueur de référence sur ledit ou lesdits éléments de fixation dans une position pouvant être répétée de manière précise par rapport à los de la mâchoire du patient, à utiliser lensemble de support pour faire coïncider ledit ou lesdits marqueurs de référence et los de la mâchoire du patient et à mettre en place limplant dentaire au moyen dun système de suivi qui utilise cette coïncidence pour guider un ensemble de fraisage.
