The presently disclosed subject matter includes a computerized method and computerized system, which enable imagery acquiring satellites to reduce the altitude of the satellite orbit for operating the imaging subsystem at a closer distance from the Earth, while reducing the overall increase in drag exerted on the satellite and thus reducing the satellite energy consumption.
