There are provided various compounds and compositions comprising polyunsaturated fatty acid monoglycerides and derivatives thereof. These compounds and compositions can be useful for use as prebiotic in a subject； for the modulation of the microbiota composition； for enhancing the population of good bacteria like Akkermenssia muciniphila and for enhancing the efficacy of cancer immunotherapy of a subject.
