Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is administered at a pulse rate equal to the patient's biological metric or the harmonic of the biological metric. This purpose is to provide frequency coupling between different organs (e.g., heart, brain, respiration, and gastrointestinal movement) through rhythm input. The particular harmonic selected is closest to the desired EEG frequency.
