A system / method is disclosed that allows for personalized in vitro customization of an ophthalmic lens blank (OLB) or ophthalmic lens with a known diopter (QKD) based on local field measurement patient characteristics. OLB consists of a transparent material comprising an ultraviolet (UV) absorbing compound. The refractive index of a portion of the transparent material may be customized by the spatial change of its refractive index (CSM) through the use of pulsed laser radiation (PLR). Customizing the transparent material eliminates the need for (i) creating a lens that cannot be manufactured otherwise, or (ii) remote laboratory manufacturing of a custom intraocular lens (IOL) for a patient. The OLB is held in a fixed lens container (SLC) to provide precise physical orientation of the OLB haptic and OLB lens structures with respect to the application of the FLR to the OLB. The SLC includes a lens filler material (LFM) that covers the OLB and is hermetically sealed after the OLB is located within the SLC and before sterilization of the SLC + OLB combination.국소 필드 측정 환자 특성에 기초하여 기지의 디옵터(QKD)를 갖는 일반적인 안용 렌즈 블랭크(OLB) 또는 안용 렌즈의 개인화된 생체외 맞춤화를 허용하는 시스템/방법이 개시된다.
