Embodiments described herein generally relate to devices, methods and systems for determining blood oxygenation. En envoyant un rayonnement proche infrarouge dune longueur donde appropriée en direction du tissu et en déterminant labsorbance en plusieurs points pour lesquels on connaît la distance entre la source du rayonnement proche infrarouge et le détecteur, on peut déterminer le taux doxygénation de lhémoglobine sur la base de sa position dans un espace tridimensionnel.
