PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case for both cutting and preserving a solid dairy product such as butter.SOLUTION: The case for both cutting and preserving the solid dairy product includes a receiving plate container 1: a cutting frame 4 having a cutting edge means 3 for cutting the solid dairy product 2 placed in the receiving plate container and a cover 5 put on the receiving plate container. The cutting frame is formed with a frame part that has a frame internal space 16 allowing the solid dairy product to freely pass through, and provided with a wire 7 stretched in the frame internal space to constitute the cutting edge means. The receiving plate container includes a placing base 10 having a placing surface 9 for placing the solid dairy product, and the placing surface is formed with slits 13 for the wire to pass through.
