PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: Brachyury expressed in human tumors, specifically in tumors of the small intestine, stomach, kidney, bladder, uterus, ovary, and testes, as well as in lung, colon and prostate carcinomas； immunogenic Brachyury polypeptides； diagnostic assays for Brachyury expression using the polypeptides； and methods for inducing an immune response to Brachyury.SOLUTION: The invention provides isolated immunogenic Brachyury polypeptides consisting of a sequence of at most 12 consecutive specific amino acids, polynucleotides encoding the polypeptides, vectors including the polynucleotides, and host cells transformed with the vectors.
