摘要：: Described herein are anti-MCAM antibodies and antigen binding fragments thereof that are capable of inhibiting the interaction between MCAM and its ligand, a protein comprising a laminin α-4 chain. These anti-MCAM antibodies and antigen binding fragments thereof may be useful for, for example, treating inflammatory conditions characterized by the infiltration of MCAM-expressing cells into a site of inflammation in the body.本發明所述為抗MCAM抗體及其抗原結合片段，其能夠抑制介於MCAM及其配體、即包含層黏蛋白(laminin)α-4鏈的蛋白質之間的交互作用。這些抗MCAM抗體及其抗原結合片段可用於例如治療特徵為體內表現MCAM之細胞浸潤至發炎部位的發炎性病況。
