PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission shaft supporting structure of a portable working machine capable of surely inhibiting the shift of a bearing member held in an operation rod to the side opposite to the driving source and effectively suppressing the vibration and damage of the transmission shaft and the operation rod.
SOLUTION: The bearing 21 is held exclusively by the press-fitting tightness to the operation rod 2, and a shift inhibition means comprising a liner 31 having an elliptic outer cross-section in natural state and having a shape restoration force to elastically contact with the inner circumferential face of the operation rod 2 is placed in the operation rod 2 to inhibit the shift of the bearing member 21 held in the operation rod 2 to the side opposite to the driving source.
