PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus for which a diameter of the distal end of an insertion part can be easily reduced by simple constitution.
SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus comprises: a long-length insertion part 2 inserted to a subject and provided with a cylindrical part 22 on the distal end an optical adapter 56 for fetching reflected light from the subject and sending it to the insertion part 2 an adapter attaching part 75 provided on the cylindrical part 22 for detachably attaching the optical adapter 56 and an imaging part 23 provided inside the cylindrical part 22 and provided with a solid-state imaging device 28 for photoelectrically converting the reflected light sent to the insertion part 2. A distal end narrowed part 73 narrowed inwards in the radial direction of the cylindrical part 22 is provided on the distal end part 53 of the cylindrical part 22 more on the distal end side than the maximum outer diameter part of the imaging part 23. Also, the distal end narrowed part 73 is provided with the adapter attaching part 75.
