PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer support device preventing a care receiver from being pressed by being pinched between a body holder and a sitting object by the body holder, and allowing easy and rapid transfer movement.SOLUTION: This transfer support device 10 includes: a support 11； a strut 13 having one end tiltably installed to the support 11； the body holder 30 provided in the other end of the strut 13, and held by the care receiver P； a drive means 20 tilting the strut 13； a measurement means 40 measuring an interval between the body holder 30 and the sitting object 60； and a control means 50 for controlling the drive means 20. The control means 50 controls the drive means 20 based on the interval measured by the measurement means 40 in an operation to bring the body holder 30 close to the care receiver P so as to make the body holder 30 hold the care receiver P sitting on the sitting object 60.
