To provide a refrigerator for maintaining food stored in the refrigerator at high quality by dehydrating the food without reducing pressure.
SOLUTION: The refrigerator includes: a switching chamber 200 having an openable/closable DOOR 201, which stores the food a cooler for generating low temperature air to COOL the inside of the switching chamber 200 a high-frequency irradiation unit (high-frequency feeding device 14, antenna 13) for irradiating the food put in the switching chamber 200 with high-frequency waves and a blowing fan 5 for blowing the low temperature air to the switching chamber 200. The refrigerator dehydrates the food in the switching chamber 200 by driving both the high-frequency irradiation unit and the flowing fan 5.
