PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip device for an endoscope for performing a set of operations required for opening and closing a clip reliably and easily by reliably halting a fastening ring at a prescribed position to prevent further forward movements in performing operation to push out the clip forward from the inside of a flexible sheath.
SOLUTION: In a distal end portion of the flexible sheath 1, a backward movement stopper 3b for a ring for blocking backward movements of the fastening ring 18 after the fastening ring 18 passes to the front is movably provided in the direction of an axis, and a forward movement stopper 4b for a ring for blocking further forward movements of the fastening ring 18 which passes the backward movement stopper 3b for a ring to the front is provided. The forward movement stopper 4b for a ring changes to a state not to block the forward movements of the fastening ring 18 since the backward movement stopper 3b for a ring moves backward by being pushed by the fastening ring 18. A distal end cover 19 for covering the peripheral part of a part where the backward movement stopper 3b for a ring and the forward movement stopper 4b for a ring are arranged is provided.
