PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope for which a space for inserting a built-in object is secured without specially increasing the outer diameter of the connection part (mainly the connection part of a distal end part and a curved pipe) of an insertion part, an observation system which is most important among the functions of the endoscope is hardly damaged even when an external load is applied to the connection part, and product specifications and safety are made compatible.
SOLUTION: On the connection part of the distal end cylindrical member 28 of the insertion part 2 and the collet pipe 9d of a curved part 9, a fitting part for fitting the rear end of the distal end cylindrical member 28 to the front end of the collet pipe 9d and fixing it is provided. At the fitting part, two notched parts 76 are provided on an inner fitting part in the direction of arranging a light guide 19 centering on the arranging position of an imaging cable 27, and only the connected distal end cylindrical member 28 and the collet pipe 9d are abutted at the part of the notched parts 76.
