PURPOSE: A surgical instrument for bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy (BSSRO) is provided to let an operator to insert and rotate an insertion portion and a tip portion in a crack formed by a fracture of mandible for delivering rotating force accurately to the insertion portion and the tip portion, thereby accurately and easily performing sagittal split surgery. CONSTITUTION: A surgical instrument for BSSRO comprises a handle and a rod-shaped body. The body includes a proximal portion which is arranged on a first central axis line and coupled with the handle； a distal portion which is arranged on a second central axis line； a shank portion (128) which is extended from the proximal portion along the first central axis line； an extension portion (130) which is firstly bent from the end of the shank portion in a diameter direction of the first central axis line； and a support portion (134) which is secondly bent from the end of the extension portion to the first central axis line.본 발명은 하악골의 시상분할을 정확하고 간편하게 실시 할 수 있는 하악상행지 시상분할 골절단술용 외과기구를 개시한다. 본 발명은 손잡이와 로드 형상의 몸체로 구성되어 있다. 몸체는 제1 중심축선과 제1 중심축선에 평행한 제2 중심축선을 구비하고, 제1 중심축선상에 배치되어 손잡이에 결합되어 있는 근위부와 제2 중심축선상에 배치되어 있는 원위부를 구비한다. 몸체는 근위부로부터 제1 중심축선을 따라 연장되어 있는 자루부와, 구강 안으로 진입되는 것으로 자루부의 말단으로부터 제1 중심축선의 반경 방향을 향하여 1차 절곡되어 있는 연장부와, 하악골의 외측면에 지지되도록 연장부의 말단으로부터 제1 중심축선을 향하여 2차 절곡되어 있는 지지부와, 하악골의 골절단에 의하여 형성되어 있는 틈에 끼워지도록 지지부의 말단으로부터 제2 중심축선을 향하여 3차 절곡되어 있는 삽입부와, 원위부와 삽입부의 말단을 연결하도록 제2 중심축선을 따라 4차 절곡되어 있는 첨두부를 구비한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 지지부는 하악골의 외측면에 지지부를 지지시키고, 삽입부와 첨두부는 하악골의 골절단에 의하여 형성되어 있는 틈에 끼워 넣어 회전시킴으로써, 회전력을 삽입부와 첨두부에 정확하게 전달하여 하악골의 시상분할을 정확하고 원활하게 실시할 수 있다. 또한, 하악골의 시상분할 시 사용되는 다른 외과기구들과의 간섭을 방지하고, 수술자의 시야를 넓게 확보할 수 있다.
