PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a liquid overall and equally to a web continuously transported for use in manufacturing an absorbent article while restraining omission of a liquid to be applied and controlling the soaking degree thereof.SOLUTION: A liquid application device 1 for applying a liquid to a web 7 continuously transported for use in manufacturing an absorbent article includes: an application roll 3, the whole peripheral surface of which is covered with a porous body 3P including continuous pores and deformable by compression, and which is rotatably supported and a feeder 27 for feeding the liquid to the application roll so as to soak in the porous body.
