A horizontal field head coil for use in a magnetic resonance imaging system, comprising eight annular units and divided into an upper part and a lower part. The upper part and the lower part respectively are provided with four units in a two-by-two arrangement. The four units of the upper part respectively have a portion of circuit arranged at the lower part. The head coil has a simple structure, a great signal-to-noise ratio, and provides patients with a great field of vision.La présente invention concerne une antenne tête à champ horizontal destinée à être utilisée dans un système dimagerie par résonance magnétique, qui comprend huit unités annulaires et est divisée en une partie supérieure et une partie inférieure. La partie supérieure et la partie inférieure sont respectivement dotées de quatre unités selon une configuration deux par deux. Les quatre unités de la partie supérieure ont respectivement une partie de circuit disposée au niveau de la partie inférieure.
