The present invention relates to a surgical instrumentation system composed of a set of disposable instruments (1) for fitting implants and of at least one set of sterile implants (2, 3), each of said sets comprising an identifier, characterized in that at least one of said sets contains a unique identifier (4), and a support for recording additional identifiers, one of said additional identifiers being a patient code, collected during the use of said set, at least one other additional identifier being the identifier of at least one complementary set (2, 3) comprising a transferable identifier (5, 6) on said support (7) for recording additional identifiers, at the time of use of said complementary set. It also relates to a method for using such a system.
