PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed for cultivating vegetables/fruits capable of preventing the bottom of the vegetables/fruits from rotting, thus promoting their growth and improving their yield and quality. SOLUTION: This bed for cultivating vegetables/fruits is such that a sheet made of a synthetic polymeric material is provided with projections; wherein the synthetic polymeric material consists of a composition prepared by compounding a vinyl chloride-based resin with a sintered compact produced by incorporating a ceramic material with at least one metal oxide and metallic germanium or germanium oxide followed by molding and sintering.
