PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mowing work machine which is easily operated and is excellent in the handleability by continuously changing postures in a horizontally rotating direction and a slanting direction by one motion in changing the postures for a ridge upper surface and a slope surface by separating a cutting blade part to allow the selection of various working methods.SOLUTION: A mowing work machine includes a travelling part 31, a mowing work part 41, a pair of cutting blade parts 411 provided on the mowing work part in a right-and-left direction, a horizontal rotating shaft 58 which is provided on a body part and is perpendicular to a travelling direction, and a cutting blade part holding arm 57 which is mounted on the horizontal rotating shaft and rotates in a vertical direction. Slope surface mowing work is performed by separating the pair of the cutting blade parts 411, moving the one to the side, and making the one abut on a slope surface A1 of the ridge by slanting.
