PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouthwash having high antibacterial property to bacteria causing dental caries (cariogenic bacteria).SOLUTION: The mouthwash comprises apolactoferrin, wherein the apolactoferrin has &le5% iron binding degree, gives &le5 mmol/L total cation concentration in an aqueous solution when preparing the aqueous solution containing 1 w/v% apolactoferrin, and exhibits high antibacterial property to the bacteria causing dental caries (cariogenic bacteria).
