A pole feeder comprises an inner case and outer retaining spikes. A centre hole passes through the device. The line is passed through the centre hole, and the hook is attached to the end of the line. Shot weights are attached to the line to adjust the feeder to the desired depth. Ground bait can be attached to the external spikes and bait such as feeder pellets or maggots can fill the central cavity. When the feeder is in the water, the water forces the bait out of the container and around the hook.
