A method of removing hair from skin, preferably facial skin, is provided, comprising the steps of: (a) applying a hydrophobic protective composition to an area of skin, preferably facial skin, on which unwanted hair is growing, the hydrophobic protective composition being capable of reducing the penetration of thioglycolic acid by at least 45%, as measured using the Franz Cell Method (b) applying a depilatory composition to the area of skin to which the hydrophobic protective composition has been applied, the depilatory composition comprising a keratin reducing agent.La présente invention a pour objet un procédé délimination des poils de la peau, de préférence de la peau du visage, comprenant les étapes consistant : (a) à appliquer une composition protectrice hydrophobe sur une zone de la peau, de préférence de la peau du visage, sur laquelle poussent des poils indésirables, la composition protectrice hydrophobe étant capable de réduire la pénétration dacide thioglycolique dau moins 45 %, comme mesuré à laide du procédé de la cellule de Franz (b) à appliquer une composition dépilatoire sur la zone de la peau sur laquelle la composition protectrice hydrophobe a été appliquée, la composition dépilatoire comprenant un agent réducteur de la kératine.
