The present invention relates to a wound dressing. Wound dressings are known, which include a sensor. When compared to the prior art, it is an object of the present invention to provide an improved wound dressing, which is capable to provide status information on the wound dressing and/or on the wound in an easy and direct way of handling. In order to solve this object a wound dressing is suggested comprising at least one sensor and a display, which is adapted to receive data determined by the sensor in form of an electrical signal and to display the received data. Furthermore, a method of manufacturing a corresponding wound dressing with a sensor and a display is suggested.
