The present disclosure is directed towards a device that dispenses treatment material for skin treatment of a user. The device comprises a body (21), a control unit (26) and means (24) for containing and dispensing the treatment material. The means (24) contains at least one first data storage device adapted to store first information pertaining to said treatment material. The control unit (26) controls dispensing of the treatment material from the means through an electrical interface in between the control unit and the means. The control unit (26) is capable of receiving data from said first data storage device.
