PURPOSE: A composition and a functional food containing Olibanum ethanol extract are provided to suppress pancreatic cancer cell growth and to effectively treat and prevent pancreatic cancer. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating pancreatic cancer contains Olibanum ethanol extract as an active ingredient, extracted using 95% ethanol at 50 Deg. C. for 24 hours and drying and concentrating at 45 Deg. C. The composition also contains pharmaceutically acceptable carriers or diluents.
