PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type rear-wheel driving lawn mower configured to move a wheel axle in a circular arc by operating a lever, capable of preventing scattering of mowed grass or pebbles, etc. to outside of a housing, and suppressing inability of travelling caused by riding on a swell on the lawn surface.SOLUTION: The lawn mower includes a scattering protection cover which is composed of two members supported to the wheel axle on sides of the housing and which can slide-move in the lateral direction and crank-move upward. The cover member is configured to move following wheels which are adjustable in the vertical direction and to cover an area lower than the lower end of the housing, so that scattering of pebbles and grass to outside of a body can be suppressed.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】レバー操作により車輪軸を円弧状に移動させる構造の後輪駆動の歩行用芝刈機であっても、ハウジング外部へ刈草および小石などが飛散しないようにし、且つ芝面の凸部乗り上げによる走行不能を抑制することである。【解決手段】ハウジングの側方に車輪軸に支持された2部材で構成され、左右へのスライド移動および上方へのクランク移動が可能な飛散防護カバーを設けることで達成される。カバー部材は、上下方向に調節可能な車輪に追従して移動すると共に、ハウジングの下端より下方の領域を覆うよう構成していることで、小石や芝草が本体から飛び出るのを抑制することができる。【選択図】図2
