PURPOSE: An ultrasonic probe and an ultrasonic system using the same is provided to obtain a long focal zone and a long bandwidth by using an ultrasonic probe including a ceramic layer made of ceramic materials with different thicknesses. CONSTITUTION: A probe(100) includes at least one transducer element(110). A beam forming unit(200) forms a focal beam by receiving a reception signal from the probe. A signal processing unit(300) makes ultrasonic image data by using the focal beam outputted from the beam forming unit. A scan transforming unit(400) transforms the ultrasonic image data outputted from the signal processing unit to a data format. An image processing unit(500) processes mode image data outputted from the scan transforming unit to a display unit(600).변환소자내의 세라믹 소자의 두께를 서로 다르게 하여 세라믹층을 형성함으로써 포커스 특성 및 저주파수 BW(bandwidth)를 확대시킬 수 있는 초음파 프로브가 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 초음파 프로브는, 초음파 신호를 송수신하는 초음파 프로브로서, 세라믹층을 각각 포함하는 적어도 하나의 변환소자를 포함하고, 상기 세라믹층은 복수의 서로 다른 두께의 세라믹 소자로 구성된다.
