The invention relates to the automatic mounting, at regular intervals, of drips on irrigation pipes. According to the invention, two irrigation pipes 1 are dealt with in parallel and in two principal phases which consist, firstly, in piercing 1 and in simultaneously picking up the drip 2 by a single movement of a table 4 and, secondly, in fitting 2 into the hole made on 1 in the previous phase after 4 has moved over the desired length. The finished product is intended for irrigating crops and, more particularly, trees.
