The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising an extract from germinated gemmules of beans for preventing or treating osteoporosis and, more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition comprising an extract from germinated gemmules of beans or fractions thereof for preventing or treating osteoporosis, a method for preventing or treating osteoporosis comprising a step of administering the composition into an entity except for humans, and a food composition and a feed composition comprising an extract from germinated gemmules of beans or fractions thereof for preventing or alleviating osteoporosis. According to the present invention, the extract from germinated gemmules of beans improves proliferation and differentiation abilities of osteoblasts and increases bone density, bone volume and the number of osteoblasts. Therefore, the extract can be usefully used for preventing or treating osteoporosis.본 발명은 콩 발아배아 추출물을 포함하는 골다공증의 예방 또는 치료용 약학 조성물에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 콩 발아배아 추출물 또는 이의 분획물을 포함하는 골다공증의 예방 또는 치료용 약학 조성물, 상기 조성물을 인간을 제외한 개체에 투여하는 단계를 포함하는 골다공증의 예방 또는 치료 방법, 콩 발아배아 추출물 또는 이의 분획물을 포함하는 골다공증의 예방 또는 개선용 식품 조성물, 및 사료 조성물에 관한 것이다.본 발명의 콩 발아배아 추출물은 조골세포의 증식능 및 분화능을 향상시키며, 골 밀도, 골 부피 및 골세포의 수를 증가시키는 효과를 나타내므로, 골다공증의 예방 또는 치료에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
