Rod of the artificial hip joint used to replace the damaged femoral head comprises a rod body, a screw portion, a motion converter, a mounting bracket, a variable working portion and a movable retainer. Body of the rod comprises a part of fixation of the head protruding from the upper part of the body of the rod for fixing the head, a working space having a horizontally open upper side of the rod body, and a screw head insert opening vertically extending so as to be connected to the working space. Helical part is inserted and rotated in screw head insertion hole. Motion transducer is inserted into the working space and vertically moved by the screw part connected to the motion converter. Fastening bracket is inserted into the working space to fix the screw part so that the screw part rotates. Variable working part is inserted into the support surface of the rod body and has the possibility of controlling its movement in the horizontal direction owing to operation of the motion converter. Movable retainer is configured to attach variable working part to motion transducer.
