PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic resin emulsion coating material freed from disadvantages arising from the addition of a fine glass powder containing silver ions or copper ions, exhibiting deodorizing, antibacterial, and antimold effects, generating minus ions, developing the so-called healing and relaxation effects, and possessing coating workability, coating film properties, and storage stability as excellent as those of a conventional coating composition for domestic use. SOLUTION: The coating composition is one comprising (A) an acrylic resin emulsion coating material, (B) a fine ceramic powder having the capability of generating minus ions, and (C) a layered compound containing an inorganic zinc compound, wherein 1 to 10 pts. wt. (B) fine ceramic powder having the capability of generating minus ions and 0.1 to 10 pts. wt. (C) layered compound having the inorganic zinc compound are contained per 100 pts. wt.
