PURPOSE: An apparatus and method of exterminating harmful insects using digital dimming of an LED and a flexible printed circuit board are provided to increase a divergence angle coming out by using the flexible printed circuit board. CONSTITUTION: An LED light source part(10) includes a plurality of light emitting diodes serially connected. A dimming part(20) is composed of a transistor controlling optical power of the light emitting diode. The dimming part on/off-switches a plurality of light emitting diodes included in a dimming signal received from a control part(40). A constant current regulator(30) is composed of a DC-DC converter having an LED drive exclusive constant current IC or a current sensing resistor. The control part generates the dimming signal including a frequency which on/off switches the LED light source part. A power supply circuit(50) is composed a circuit which raises/drop an input voltage with an output voltage necessary for driving the light emitting diode. An input part(60) receives an input signal of a user. A storage(70) is a database including time when harmful insects are active.본 발명은 해충 퇴치 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 연성회로 기판 상에 구성된 LED 광원부에 연결된 디밍부를 통해 LED 조명기기에서 발광하는 빛을 해충이 싫어하는 주파수로 온/오프 스위칭시킴으로써 해충을 퇴치할 수 있는 발광 다이오드의 디지털과 연성회로 기판을 이용한 해충 퇴치 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다.이를 위해 본 발명의 발광 다이오드의 디지털 디밍을 이용한 해충 퇴치 장치는 연성 회로 기판 상에 형성되는 적어도 하나의 LED 광원부； 상기 적어도 하나의 LED 광원부에 직렬로 연결되어 상기 LED 광원부를 온/오프 스위칭시키는 적어도 하나의 디밍부； 상기 적어도 하나의 디밍부에 직렬 연결되고 상기 LED 광원부에 정전류를 공급하여 상기 LED 광원부를 구동시키는 정전류 레귤레이터； 상기 적어도 하나의 디밍부에 상기 LED 광원부를 온/오프 스위칭시키는 주파수가 포함되는 디밍신호를 생성하는 제어부를 포함한다.
