The present disclosure provides compositions containing ketamine for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder and methods of using such compositions. Also provided herein are pharmaceutical compositions comprising escetamine and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, excipient or diluent for use in the treatment of PTSD. In some aspects, the pharmaceutical composition is for intranasal or intravenous administration. In some aspects, the pharmaceutical composition is for use in a method of treating PTSD in a subject.
