The present invention relates to a crystalline form of encenicline hydrochloride and a process for its preparation. The invention also concerns a pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of the crystalline form of encenicline hydrochloride and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. The pharmaceutical composition of the present invention can be used as medicament, in particular for treatment and/or prevention of CNS disorders associated with cognitive deficits such as Alzheimers disease and schizophrenia.
