PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transpiration element capable of supplying water to an entire transpiration body.SOLUTION: In a transpiration element 3, by arranging a water diffusion part 15 between an upper face 7a of a transpiration body 7 and a water supply port, water supplied from the water supply port is dropped to a filter member 11 of the water diffusion part 15 without directly dropping the water to the transpiration body 7. Since the water diffusion part 15 uniformly diffuses the water supplied from the water supply port to the upper face 7a of the transpiration body 7, the upper face 7a receives the water not only at a portion immediately below and around the water supply port but also at a side edge.
