Eye drops for treating age-related nuclear cataracts contain a serotonin receptor antagonist, specifically ondansetron hydrochloride dihydrate, as an active ingredient, as well as auxiliary components which increase the therapeutic effect of the active ingredient: substances which provide viscosity of the medium； substances which maintain the pH of the medium； stabilizer of biological, physical and chemical properties and/or resistance to microbial contamination； solvent and water.
