The present invention is directed to an insecticidal composition comprising a trisiloxane surfactant and a matrix former, wherein the composition is capable of controlling pests and pathogens using a physical mode of action. Accordingly, in one aspect, the present invention provides a tortious composition for controlling pests and pathogens in a physical manner. The composition comprises a trisiloxane surfactant and a matrix former. The composition may form a gel matrix or a film matrix. The trisiloxane surfactant may be selected from the group consisting of Silwet L-77, Silwet 408, Break-Thru S-240, and Silibase 2848.
