PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions for keratin fibers, such as hair, preferably compositions for cosmetics, which can be used for transforming or re-shaping keratin fibers and can provide sufficient re-shaping efficiency to keratin fibers, for example, strong wave strength, clear wave depth, and excellent curl regularity, resulting in excellent hair conditioning effect, e.g., elasticity and flexibility of keratin fibers, without causing much damage to keratin fibers.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a composition for keratin fibers, such as hair, comprising (a) at least one reducing agent, and (b) at least one polyol having four or more carbon atoms, wherein the amount of polyol in the composition is less than 1.0 mass% with respect to the total mass of the composition.
