SOLUTION: This phototoxicity inhibitor, cosmetic composition or food and drink comprises the extract from the Tussilago farfara L. (especially preferably a leaf) having >=0.07% chlorogenic acid content and >=0.01% caffeic acid content. Thereby, the extract has phototoxicity inhibitory actions on air pollutants and is useful for suppressing various adverse effects [skin cancer, skin roughening, skin aging, sunburn (blackening), inflammation, etc.], on human bodies.
