PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-tier cultivation system of simple structure, capable of holding and moving cultivation means, with no need of setting any special members at a working passage and constituting no hindrance to other operations. SOLUTION: The multi-tier cultivation system has the following mechanism: In moving a cultivation vessel 20 on an upper tier after removing a cultivation vessel 20 on a lower tier, a cultivation means-holding member 6 holding the vessel 20 on the upper tier is, for example, detached to change its position from its holding position out of a moving path for the vessel 20, and a cultivation means engagement member 3 of a sliding member 5 is engaged on the vessel 20, and the sliding member 5 is made to descend along each of supporting columns 2. Therefore, despite being of simple structure, this system enables such cultivation vessels 20 to be held and moved, significantly reducing its making cost as compared with conventional cases.
